As a prime contractor, Namtra brought in a team of developers to provide Design, Development and Programming of their Value Added Tax application. Namtra worked on the new Release of "VAT Control Evaluation Tool". This tool aims at identifying VAT (Value Added Taxes) risk opportunities and calculating/documenting the potential Exposure as well as the resolution process for mitigating/reducing the exposure.
We worked on Country Specific Features and inbound Interfaces (likely XML or csv file download/upload) with VAT Financial Sub-Ledgers of a "VAT Reporting Workflow Application". This tool is providing a documented step -step audit trail between numbers reported on VAT returns within a given jurisdiction and financial numbers & control checks are carried out and adjustments made.

They were in need of a comprehensive end-to-end solution for creating, modifying, viewing, and filing tax disclosure statements for tax returns.
As a prime contractor, Namtra brought in to provide General Electric Corporate Taxes with design, development and programming of Disclosure Statement Tools (DST). Namtra helped our client in finding the end to end solutions for creating, modifying, viewing, and filing tax disclosure statements for tax returns.
The tax disclosure statement application has all the functionality that supports the disclosure statements generation and filing needs for all of our client's business entities that are subject to taxes. Core components provide the functionality of creating disclosure statements online. It also enables users to attach the statements in PDF or word format created outside the DST environment. The attached statements can be viewed within the DST environment. The proposed DST application would enable users and administrators to manage the disclosure statements lifecycle and tax return process with ease and enhanced control.

The Disclosure Statement Tool (DST) enabled our clients staff to manage the tax return process with ease. The core functionality is to create, modify, and track the tax disclosure statements for all of our clients business entities that are subject to taxes. The disclosure statements creation in the DST is divided into Online Statements, Auto Generated Statements, and Attached Statements. In case of Online Statements, user can login and choose the online statement option and then choose the required parameters to generate and save the online statement. Based on certain rules, some online statement generation also enable users to auto generate other relevant statements. The attached statements are created outside the DST environment in PDF or Word documents. Users login and choose attached statement option. Fill-in required parameters and upload the attached statement. Users can view the attached statements within the DST environment.
The DST application was built on the standards based on J2EE platform using JBoss. It replaced and improved upon the current functionality of the Lotus Notes/Domino based application. DST provided some of the requested functionality by users of the existing Disclosure Statement Tool. DST provided conformance with our client's standards and introduce a Service Oriented architecture (SOA) using standard open source and commercial components to create a robust, scalable and maintainable system.
Attached Statements' Document Upload - The new DST functionality provided documents upload and improved speed of upload and download with major architectural enhancements. PDF files would be in linearized format. It means that they will render in browser while downloading.
Enhanced Lookup Mechanism - Old version of DST has to look up a lot of information from oracle database like Gold entities information. Some of the data is imported to Domino/Notes on nightly bases. The new DST application will be integrated to the required databases and information will be available in real time.
Improved User Interface - The new interface provided greater choices and enable users to accomplish more in less clicks. Single Sign on - Single Sign was implemented to improve the user experience and improvement in security environment.

With the help of this development our client filed an electronic tax return earlier in May 31, 2006, turning what would have been 24,000 pages of paper into about 240 megabytes of information. We have tried to simplify and eliminate duplicate requests. SIR was designed by the tax functions of GE to provide an easy access via our client's intranet to submit data for parent components, affiliates, partnerships and LLC's.
This application generated a PDF file that was sent to IRS to report taxes This application was used for planning and partnership and acquisition information maintenance. As a prime contractor, Namtra brought in a team of developers to develop and maintain Sabrix Integration with Oracle Accounts Payable.
The project called for providing Oracle application technical and functional services to implement, develop and maintain Sabrix integration with Oracle Accounts Payable (AP) to make it global Tax solution for our client and work on the Tax data warehouse for Tax extracts to send it to electronic data warehouse for Tax analysis and Tax reporting.
To fulfill the scope of the project Namtra proposes to provide a Sr. oracle application Techno/Functional consultant to lead and execute Sabrix AP integration and work on the Tax data warehouse for Tax extracts.
The following activities were carried on the project:- Meet with the user and design/development team members in SSS Albany, NY to work through a problem statement.
- Define and/or clarify reconciliation reporting requirements scope and objectives
- Discuss and determine most viable solution options and finalize reconciliation project deliverables (including desired solution option).
- Prepare a functional requirements and solution design document that meets the scope and objectives.
- Identify additional dependencies found during analysis, listing issues and risks and concomitant mitigation strategies that the desired solution may impact or be impacted by.
- Perform Sabrix programming and development
- Develop technical design based on functional requirements, and coding.
- Perform Unit testing.
- Produce technical design documents, test case document, setup document and Tollgate documents.
